Update on Miss. M.

I wish I had better news to report but she is still vomiting. Yesterday was better. Up and about and no vomiting! Today though she was on the couch or in her bed all day. She kept complaining in the the morning that her stomach hurt. She took a long nap this afternoon and when she woke up she yelled for us that she had gotten sick in her bed. So we got the bed and her cleaned up. We have about got it down to a science now. Danny's automatic response is, "OK you get her cleaned up and I'll get the sheets." We make a pretty good throw up team. : / Anyway, a half our later she was on the couch and got sick again. Luckily we had the bucket handy. Sorry for all this information. I am sure it is more than you wanted to know... 15 minutes later - sick again. 45 minutes later - sick again. 20 minutes later - sick again. Of coarse it was New Year's Day and so we couldn't take her to the Dr. earlier in the day. I paged the Dr. on call (which I hate to do) and asked if there was anything more we could do for her tonight. The anti-nausea meds they prescribed at the hospital were not staying down tonight. She called in a anti-nausea suppository. Sounds fun. We haven't gotten it yet but if she gets sick again I will run and pick it up. She hasn't gotten sick for several hours and kept down a Pedialite Popsicle. She cried tonight when we ate dinner and she couldn't eat. She said she was hungry and wanted to be able to eat. She hasn't been able to eat freely for two and half weeks now. On the days she gets sick she can have toast, sips of drink and popsicles. On the other days we really limit her to very bland foods (the BRATS-bananas, rice, applesauce - oh I forgot the T and S.) diet.

We plan to take her into the Dr. tomorrow (after my root canal!!) and they want to do more testing. The Dr. said tonight that her urinalysis report came back normal so she doesn't have a UTI. They thought that might be causing some of the symptoms and she has been on anti-biotic for it just in case. She said to stop the anti-biotic for now.
