A late 6 year birthday post

Here is Libby on her birthday last July. Had to get this done before she turned another year older. She turned 6 on the day we were to drive our 2nd leg of a two day journey to Mimi's in Florida. We woke up and left the hotel early and got on the road. She opened her presents at her choice restaurant for her bday lunch IHOP. This first picture is her trying on her tiara that was part of her gift(s).

As we got forty five minutes out from Mimi's our SUV started dying on us and we, thankfully, were able to coast off of the interstate and into a gas station parking lot. It was a very friendly location to break down as a few men tried to help us figure out what was wrong and gave us a jump. The jump lasted only one stop light and our vehicle died again. The person who jumped us was a state highway road worker of sorts and said he would follow us a ways. When we died he jumped us at the light so that we could turn around and get back to the gas station. We called my Mom and had her drive to get us. This was about ten or eleven at night.=) We all waited at a picnic table at the gas station and tried to be funny and have a good time. Poor Libby mentioned that this wasn't the funnest birthday. Love her heart. =) We let her know we would celebrate better later. My Mom arrived, we unloaded the SUV into her car, as the tow truck sported our vehicle to a recommended (via the highway road patrol worker) repair shop. Libby was too tired to blow out birthday candles that night at Mimi's so we let her do it the next morning before we headed out to the beach. It appears the girls had some "coffee," (brown milk) also. Showing a little sisterly post birthday love in this photo below.
