Precious Days

Here is a sweet sweet song written for fun by a friend of D's from his younger days. They lived in the same town for a while. I found this on her blog tonight and HAD to share as it blessed me and brought a smile to my face.

You can read about the making of this sweet song/video HERE. It was originally going to be made just for fun (actually a spoof on country music) and entitled Country Mama. Alyssa later decided upon Precious Days. I absolutely LOVE it!
She is amazingly artistic in many areas: music, photography (what I wouldn't give for her eye!), fashion, decorating, writer, child rearing... She is also real and likable, I only know her through her blog, but you can't help but LOVE her. You know we all have those people that we think, "When I 'grow up' I want to be like her!" She is one of those for me for the reasons listed previous plus her real and fruitful walk with the Lord Jesus. Thanks Lys - hopefully we can meet someday this side of heaven. =)

Let me know what you think about the song/video you all!!

Lyrics:
----------------------------------
[Some say it's the life
living free, no kids no strife,

but what i've found it's just not true,
cause life wouldn't be worth
living with out you.....

long days short nights,
messy hair and breakin' up fights

tight hugs, sweet talks,
memories made on hot summer walks,

I wouldn't take this crazy life
lovin' these kids and being his wife,

I wouldn't trade these precious days just livin' to love on you.

Some days I won't lie,
get so tough, man, I could cry.

But these years, baby, they just fly by,

so I'm gonna live my life to love you.

Some ask if I'm insane
for havin' lots of kids to train.

Well, what they say it might be true,
but no way in the world I"m trading you!

I wouldn't trade this crazy life
lovin' these kids and being his wife,

I wouldn't trade these precious days
just livin' to love on you!

One day when there all grown
and I'm just sitting here alone,

That's when I'll reap what I've sown,
in the days I had with you.

That's why darlin' with you by my side,
I'm livin' it up takin' this ride!

Cause don't ya see, time just won't hide
SO I'm livin' to love on you!]

Wow! Very wonderful . . . I'm always impressed by what she can create with all on her plate. It takes me FOREVER to figure out something like that! But I have lots of ideas perculating, just waiting for that day when . . . sigh.
BTW . . .I think you are just as talented young lady! (smile)
