Eight Years In, And Still Truckin’ Along: A Testimony of God’s Faithfulness

"This January marks a significant anniversary in my life. This past January 14 marked eight years since I left my homeland - Louisiana - for the rolling hills of the Bluegrass State in lieu of God’s call. I had visited Southern during Heritage Week in the Fall of 1999 and, during Dr. Mohler’s sermon on Hebrews 11:8-10 (it was on 10/15/99; it’s marked in my bible), knew then that God had indeed called me to ministry and to attend Southern. Like Abraham, I knew not where I was going in ministry. Yet, I knew He called me to leave my home and family behind to pursue the calling he placed on my life, trusting that He would be faithful in leading and providing for me as He did for Abraham. Little did I know what God had in store for me in Kentucky.
