This is a lesson in not polishing the dining room table while your kids are playing in the backyard. M yelled and said, "MOM - Libby's playing in the dirt!" I thought well it is probably just the grass or by the playground - no big deal - I'll be there in a minute. Well when I went out L was sitting in the middle of my newly formed (by my sweet husband) flower bed (no flowers planted yet thank goodness)/bird bath bed throwing the dirt out onto the grass. I thought Oh no and then thought Oh I have to get the camera! = ) By the time I got back she was out of the dirt but still playing in it. She was covered in dirt. Luckily she didn't throw all of the dirt out!

Here I asked, "L where is the dirt?"
Her new word for the day is, "dirt". She keeps saying it.
Running away from the scene of the crime (below).

This certainly called for a bath before nap time. When I took off her shoes for bath dirt came out all over her changing table. She said, "dirt!" Who said girls are sugar and spice and everything nice???
Chewing some gum that came from who knows where...???
Love the dirty little hand.
"Daddy, don't be too mad I messed up your beautiful dirt garden. It made for lots of fun and a great photo opp. for Mommy..."
